I am honoured to have been elected as your Labor member for Werriwa and am proud to serve in the Gillard Government. I am married with four grownup stepchildren.

Growing up in the Western Suburbs has given me a strong sense of community. It has also given me the determination to make sure that we all benefit from good government, to ensure openness and fairness, that your voice is heard. 

I am committed to making government accessible to everyone in the community.

As a Federal and State Member of Parliament for over twenty-six years I understand that being an MP is about open effective representation – a strong voice for issues that affect us all – working hard for south-western Sydney – getting results.
